Palliative Care In Geelong

MACS’ palliative-care service

When the time is near to leave this life, many people prefer to pass away in their own home and on their terms. MACS provide an in-home palliative care service (view PDF here), funded by the Hospice Foundation Geelong, for all local residents regardless of age, culture or circumstances.

This service is a defining passion for MACS. We know the positive difference home-based palliative care can make for everyone involved. The care, compassion and professionalism of our palliative care staff will ensure that your loved one is cared for with dignity and in comfort.

A personal touch

At such a personal time, MACS can provide a variety of palliative care services to best support the individual needs of your loved one and your family.

Care options range from practical support such as meal preparation, running errands, and having someone to simply sit with, to hands-on care such as overnight stays where the carer will stay awake throughout the night to ensure you and your family can get some rest. You tell us what you need, and we will listen and try to make it happen.

And while we always follow OH&S guidelines, we do so in an empathetic way to ensure that the person we care for is given the same respect and dignity that we would expect our own family members, or ourselves, to receive.

We want your home to remain looking and feeling just like your home, and we consider ourselves as respectful visitors in your home, first and foremost.
