Food Services Assistant – casual

The food services assistant may be required to work in any of MACS’ food services preparation/service areas and to follow designated shift and area specified duties. Generally duties include: receiving, recording and correct storage of food and kitchen supplies; regular preparation of vegetables, meals, snacks and fluids; serving of meals and snacks; clearing and cleaning after meals; kitchen and equipment cleaning; maintaining kitchen hygiene and other duties as directed by the Hotel Services Manager or Head Chef.

The food services assistant is required to follow MACS’ food safety plan, including completing documentation. The food services assistant is required to liaise effectively with other MACS staff, especially when duties involve interactions with residents, family members and other visitors.

The food services assistant is responsible to the Hotel Services Manager.
