Current vacancies

Cook/chef – part time

The Cook is responsible to the Food Service Team Leader and works within MACS’ food services preparation area. Duties include: receiving, recording and correct storage of food supplies. Also the cook is responsible for cooking, serving and storage of food to set menus including using the cook/chill process and preparing therapeutic diets. The cook supervises food services assistants in MACS’ main kitchen. The cook is responsible for maintenance of all food safety requirements, food safety documentation, and kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.

Food Services Assistant – part time

The FSA is responsible to the Food Service Team Leader and works within MACS’ food services preparation area. Duties include: preparing breakfasts for residents as they arrive in the dining room and delivering to those in their rooms, cleaning up of dishes, serving morning & afternoon teas, serving lunch sanitising workbenches, kitchenette and completing all necessary food safety documentation by the end of  the shift.

Manager Health, Safety and Wellbeing

 We are seeking a Manager Health, Safety and Wellbeing to join Geelong’s newest community services organisation, Multicultural Community Services Geelong (MCSG), in a leadership role as a key part of the People & Culture team, which supports our employees and their environment.

This highly influential position is a full time, or part time, with flexibility considered for the successful applicant. 

Put your own personal stamp on the establishment of the Health and Safety function, in a newly formed organisation arising from the merger of Diversitat and MACS in Geelong. This is a unique opportunity to have direct input into the creation of a role, and a high level of influence, in the way that the health and safety systems of the organisation are formed and operated. 

Working closely with the General Manager of P&C, this position is accountable for the development, implementation and evaluation of H&S initiatives, and will provide important input, into the P&C Department’s performance against the strategic and operational goals in the MCSG Strategic Plan.

The Manager Health, Safety & Wellbeing will provide a leadership role to the staff and stakeholders of MCSG and is responsible for providing operational and technical health, safety and wellbeing support and guidance to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees, contractors and visitors to our sites.

Wellbeing Co-ordinator/Care Manager (full time)

Do you want to make a positive impact on an individual’s life within 8 weeks? We are advertising for a Well Being Co-Ordinator / Care Manager to join MACS Home Services team, to support our consumers to live their best lives.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

This position is a full time position and is responsible for managing the day-to-day service provision to MACS’ home based consumers. Each MACS’ Home Services Wellbeing Co-Ordinator has an allocated caseload, but may also be required to contribute to overall consumer management. Duties include, but are not limited to, consumer assessment, community and home care staff liaison, and answering daily queries and problem solving with Consumers and families.
