2021 Flu Vaccinations for visitors to MACS facilities
2021 FLU VACCINATIONS FOR VISITORS TO MACS
As part of managing our Risk Exposure to Residents and ensuring we provide our residents with the safest living environment as possible, a decision has been made that all visitors over the age of 18 years of age must provide us with a current 2021 flu vaccination certificate. Given that people are still trying to have their COVID vaccinations undertaken and that there is a delay as a result for them to have their flu vax, we have extended the deadline for showing proof of vaccination to Friday the 13th of August. Please note that after this time, you will not be allowed to access the facility without having provided proof of flu vaccination without a valid reason.
You can email this into us clearly stating who you will be visiting or bring it in for us to copy. From 13 August 2021 this will be checked as part of our screening processes prior to entry.
Our visitor pods will be opened for visits if you do not wish to have the flu vaccination. You will need to speak to Heather at reception if you wish to make an appointment by calling 52796800.
We remain concerned about the lateness of the flu vaccination this year taking into consideration the COVID vaccination for our residents and want to ensure that we do everything we can to keep our residents safe and well during this winter period.
Even with the slightest sniffle, cold or sore throat we ask that you please refrain from visiting. We can certainly arrange for you to connect with your loved one in a variety of ways. Just let us know.
Please also keep abreast of any Health Department guideline or directives if you travel interstate to ensure you have not visited any hot spots.
Take care everyone and please continue to wash those hands x 2, keep on social distancing and make sure you wear your mask especially at MACS!!
Coming into winter we need to be extra vigilant.
